Professor Giacomo Emmi is Full Professor of Immunology at the University of Lausanne and Head of the Service of Immunology and Allergy Service at Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV), Switzerland. His clinical and research activity focuses on systemic autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases, with expertise in systemic vasculitis, Behçet’s syndrome, and systemic lupus erythematosus. He is actively involved in several international research networks and collaborative initiatives in the field of vasculitis and rare immune-mediated diseases. He serves as a member of the EUVAS Presidential Council, is Vice-President of the International Society for Behçet’s Disease, Coordinator of the EULAR Behçet’s Syndrome Study Group, and Co-Coordinator of the European EGPA Study Group. He has authored more than 400 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
